Hi Beth-

My girlfriend and I met you and your husband on our first trip house hunting in Monte Rio (May 2010), after our first wrong turn led us right to your place. You guys had a load of wood in the pickup, and a look in your eyes like you were hoping it might just unload itself. We chatted for a few minutes about your project before going on our way.

Since then we have procured a small place (about a mile east as the crow flies), initiating our own adventure. My interests in history/legacy/soul-of-place have been well tended by our project, overwhelming as it so often seems.

I have thought of the Schoolhouse since, and was delighted to have found your blog with all of its experience, humor and humility. Your place looks great!

We would love to meet up again, trade stories, and see/learn more about you & your place.

Thanks,
John H.

Hi, I just found your website and love it. My family lives in a old two room school house in Ripon, Ca. My husband grew up in the house and we purchased it from his parents 7 years ago. We are always working on something. I am so happy to find someone who has actually finished a schoolhouse-gives me hope!
Thanks for the great website.
